Professional Career

Amy is a member of the Laxton CFO Services team, providing accounting support and financial operations expertise to help clients build clarity and confidence in their numbers. After working with Laxton as a contractor for a year, she officially joined the team full-time in early 2026.

With a background spanning both operations and accounting, Amy brings a practical, hands-on approach to financial management. She previously served as Assistant General Manager of the Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne, where she managed accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and day-to-day financial operations—developing a strong foundation in keeping systems organized, accurate, and running efficiently.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queens University of Charlotte and an MBA from the McColl School of Business. Her combined experience allows her to not only understand the numbers, but also the people and processes behind them.

At Laxton, Amy focuses on creating structure within financial workflows and ensuring reporting is clean, reliable, and actionable. She is known for her attention to detail, steady execution, and ability to bring order to complex financial tasks—helping clients feel more in control of their operations and better equipped to make informed decisions.

Personal

Originally from Jackson Hole, Amy feels most at home in the mountains and brings that same grounded, adventurous spirit into her everyday life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two wild boys and husband, staying active through yoga and hiking, and finding moments to slow down with a good book.

Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or keeping up with her kids, Amy values balance, connection, and making the most of every season.
